Breakfast is provided with the cost of the tour, this hopefully will provide some extra time for us all to congregate, do a quick introduction and give ourselves some energy before we head off for our tour. ( menu: scrambled farm fresh eggs, bacon and homemade toast, coffee, tea, juice) breakfast is of course optional.
This is a rain or shine event.
Our guide Robert Courteau is the founder of Think Fungi. You can find out more about Robert here https://thinkfungi.org/
and a link to register for our tour August 4th in Denbigh.
I'm really looking forward to this tour Robert and I met at the 2024 Ottawa Outdoor Adventure show and I was immediately intrigued to go on one of his guided forest walks he has a extensive knowledge of all things fungi.
I hope you will join us in learning more about our natural surrounding literally from the ground up, no nature walk after will ever be the same.
Included in the tour are course materials you can put to use in your future explorations. I'm sure this will be a fun and interesting day, I'll be on tour with you, sketchbook and camera in hand. After the tour if your not familiar with the area some suggestions I could offer are visiting Bon Echo Provincial park and go for a swim and see Mazinaw Rock or many other local areas to discover. Its the August long weekend if you'd like to make a weekend out of it you can find things to do and place to stay here https://naturallyla.ca/explore/
I'll literally just be back from Nova Scotia then right into Culture Days to finish of a summer and fall of discovery and creating. During this time I hope to share my summers body of work with you. More to come as the time nears!
